Cleese Farm is ideally located for exploring the delightful fishing villages, sandy beaches and spectacular coastal paths of South East Cornwall.

Further inland lies the rugged splendour of Bodmin Moor with its prehistoric and mining heritage.

The picturesque fishing village of Looe with its sandy beach, restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops is just two miles from Cleese Farm and has much to offer visitors including deep sea and shark fishing trips which run from the quay, diving trips and glass bottom boat trips around Looe Island and the Scylla Reef at Whitsand Bay as well as beautiful walks along the coastal path.

The historic fishing village of Polperro is also close by as are the sandy beaches of Whitsand Bay and Talland Bay. A little further along the coast lies the fishing port of Fowey (home of Daphne du Maurier ) where you can enjoy steamboat river trips as well visit the Daphne du Maurier Literary Centre.

The famous Eden Project and the renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan are a half hour drive from Cleese Farm. Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park, situated in the 'forgotten corner' of Cornwall with outstanding coastal views and walks, is also well worth a visit.

There are quite a number of National Trust properties within easy reach including the magnificent houses and grounds at Antony, Cotehele and Lanhydrock.

Further inland, Bodmin Moor, home of the legendary Jamaica Inn, offers miles of spectacular scenery as well as fascinating prehistoric remains and more recent mining heritage. The old mining village of St Minions has an interesting Mining Heritage centre and also lies close by the Cheesewring and the Hurlers (ancient standing stone circles).
